How do I get started?
Register your organisation, create a community, share its join link with the people you want in it, and post opportunities.
How do people join my community?
Each community has its own join link. Share it by email, newsletter or WhatsApp — one tap shows them what they are joining and adds them. There is a join code behind the link for anyone who is given one verbally.
How do I verify my organisation?
Schools are verified automatically against the Get Information About Schools (GIAS) register maintained by the Department for Education. Charities and companies can register their Charity Commission number or Companies House number on their profile so volunteers know who they are dealing with.
Can I have multiple communities?
Yes — you can create separate communities, for example by site, team or interest area.
Who is responsible for DBS checks?
Your organisation is responsible for any DBS or safeguarding checks. JustBe verifies school identity via GIAS but does not conduct background checks.
For volunteers
How do I find opportunities?
Browse public opportunities at justbe.app/opportunities, or open the join link from an organisation you know to see their private ones.
How do I join a community?
Open the join link the organisation sent you and press Join — that is the whole thing. If you were given a code instead, go to Communities, click "Join a community" and enter it.
What happens after I apply?
The organisation will review your application and accept or reject it. You'll receive an email either way.
How do I withdraw from an opportunity?
Go to Applications, find the opportunity and click "Can't attend".
