Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 2026
Our commitment
JustBe is committed to making our platform accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of ability or technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our minimum standard, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-off project.
What we do
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA roles where appropriate.
- Ensure text has sufficient colour contrast.
- Support keyboard navigation throughout the platform.
- Provide visible focus indicators on interactive elements.
- Use descriptive alt text for meaningful images.
- Allow text to be resized in the browser without breaking layout.
Known limitations
We are continually improving. Some areas of the platform may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in full — particularly newer features added during pilot. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us so we can prioritise it.
Reporting issues and getting help
If you have trouble using JustBe, or you have suggestions for making the platform more accessible, please email help@justbe.app. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
Enforcement
If you are not happy with how we respond to an accessibility complaint, you can contact the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC), which is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
